Quick Start
This guide is for the iUniker MZP351HV00TR / P035260107 display. It uses the existing Raspberry Pi OS installation and does not require a vendor operating-system image.
| Step | What to Do | Success Check |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Start with a compatible Raspberry Pi Zero-series board and a working current Raspberry Pi OS installation. | The Raspberry Pi boots normally before the LCD setup is added. |
| 2 | Make sure you can open Terminal or connect by SSH. | You have a way to run the setup command even before the LCD shows an image. |
| 3 | Choose the online installer or the downloaded offline ZIP. | The installer completes its checks, creates a timestamped backup, and requests or performs a reboot. |
| 4 | Shut down and unplug the Raspberry Pi before connecting or adjusting the LCD. | The 40-pin connector is correctly aligned, other GPIO accessories are removed, and HDMI is disconnected for the first test. |
| 5 | Power on and allow 30–60 seconds after reboot. | Desktop systems show the desktop, Lite systems show a text login console, and touch responds in a graphical desktop. |
Hardware Installation
Before You Begin
Confirm the Raspberry Pi can already boot and that Terminal or SSH is available. The LCD may remain blank or white until the software setup has been completed.
Use a stable 5V power supply and a high-quality USB power cable. Disconnect HDMI during the first LCD test so HDMI is not selected as the primary display.
Hardware Installation Steps
Step 1
Shut down Raspberry Pi OS completely and unplug the Raspberry Pi power cable.
Software Installation
Driver Requirement
No replacement operating-system image, kernel replacement, or DKMS driver is required. The setup enables display and touchscreen overlays already supplied by Raspberry Pi OS.
Method 1 — Online Install (Recommended)
Use this method when the Raspberry Pi has Internet access and Terminal or SSH is available. Run this single command on the Raspberry Pi:
curl -fL --retry 3 --retry-all-errors https://raw.githubusercontent.com/iUniker/P035260107-easy-setup/main/install.sh -o ~/iuniker-mzp351-install.sh && sudo bash ~/iuniker-mzp351-install.sh --rebootThe complete installer downloads over HTTPS before it runs. If the download is interrupted, the installer stops without changing the Raspberry Pi. After compatibility checks, it creates a timestamped backup, installs the managed display configuration, and reboots automatically.
Method 2 — Install from Downloaded ZIP
Use this method when the Raspberry Pi cannot access GitHub. Download the offline ZIP from https://github.com/iUniker/P035260107-easy-setup/releases/download/v0.4.3-engineering.1/iUniker-MZP351-Offline-Setup.zip on any Internet-connected device, transfer it to the Raspberry Pi, and extract it.
On Raspberry Pi OS Desktop, double-click INSTALL and choose Execute or Run if prompted. The launcher opens a terminal, asks for the Raspberry Pi password, installs the display configuration, and reboots automatically.
On Raspberry Pi OS Lite or a headless setup, open Terminal in the extracted folder and run:
bash INSTALLThe ZIP performs the same checks and changes as the online method. The Raspberry Pi does not need GitHub access during installation.
Expected Result
After reboot, allow 30–60 seconds for startup. Raspberry Pi OS Desktop should show the desktop. Raspberry Pi OS Lite should show a text login console; this is normal. In a graphical desktop, the touchscreen should respond to light pressure.
What Changes
The installer creates mzp351hv00tr.txt in the active boot partition and adds one clearly marked managed block to the existing config.txt. It does not overwrite the complete config.txt. A timestamped backup is created before any change.
Troubleshooting Checklist
| Symptom | Check First |
|---|---|
| Backlight is on but the screen is white | Confirm installation completed, disconnect HDMI, and check 40-pin alignment. |
| Screen and backlight are completely off | Check the power supply, USB cable, GPIO alignment, and GPIO18 conflicts. |
| Picture works but touch does not | Remove other SPI devices and check GPIO27 and the touchscreen connector. |
| Touch direction is wrong | Return the display to its default orientation; rotation also requires a touch transform. |
| Picture flickers or colors are incorrect | Check power, header solder joints, connector seating, and panel batch. |
| HDMI works but the LCD does not | Disconnect HDMI for the first test so it is not selected as the primary display. |
| A window does not fit on screen | The native resolution is 480x320; some applications require a larger display. |
| Raspberry Pi does not boot after setup | Restore the timestamped config.txt backup from another boot method. |
Remove the Setup
Download and extract the offline setup ZIP if it is not already on the Raspberry Pi. From the extracted setup folder, run:
sudo bash uninstall.sh --rebootThe uninstaller removes only the managed block, preserves the display fragment as a timestamped disabled file, creates another config.txt backup, and reboots.
Create a Diagnostic Report
From the downloaded and extracted setup folder, run:
sudo bash diagnose.sh | tee mzp351-diagnostic.txtThe report contains hardware, kernel, overlay, DRM, input, and backlight state. It does not collect passwords, Wi-Fi credentials, or user files.
What to Send Support
Send mzp351-diagnostic.txt together with the Raspberry Pi model, operating-system name, and a clear photo of the 40-pin connection.
Product Overview
The iUniker P035260107 is a 3.51-inch 480x320 DPI LCD with an ADS7846 resistive touchscreen. It is intended for compact Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero W/WH, and Zero 2 W/2 WH projects that need a directly attached display and touch input.
The setup is non-destructive. It uses display and Device Tree overlay support already supplied by Raspberry Pi OS. It does not replace the operating system or kernel, use DKMS, or change applications, network settings, or user files.
The installer finds the active boot partition, checks the board and required overlays, backs up config.txt, installs the managed display fragment, and adds one clearly marked managed block. Running it again updates that block instead of adding duplicates.

Compatibility
Compatible Raspberry Pi Models
Intended for Raspberry Pi Zero, Zero W/WH, and Zero 2 W/2 WH boards.
Operating System
Use a current Raspberry Pi OS release with current KMS-capable firmware, kernel, and overlays. Ubuntu, RetroPie, Batocera, Kali, LibreELEC, Android, other distributions, and custom kernels are unsupported unless the exact release is listed as tested.
The engineering preview has one recorded Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W display/install test. Support across every listed board and OS combination has not yet been validated.
GPIO and Accessory Conflicts
The display occupies 25 GPIOs. Other DPI displays, ADS7846 configurations, SPI0 devices, GPIO HATs, and devices using GPIO18 or GPIO27 may conflict. Remove other GPIO HATs and accessories for the first test.
Display and Touch Behavior
This is a resistive touchscreen. It requires light pressure and does not support multi-touch gestures. The native resolution is 480x320, so some applications or windows designed for larger displays may not fit.
Switching from an Older Setup
If the existing boot configuration includes mzp351hv00tr-new.txt or mzp351hv00tr-old.txt, remove that old include before switching to this managed installer. A reboot is required before the new display settings take effect.
